The 2nd XI enjoyed better fortunes at
Carlton Towers on a plumb batting track. The Park made the most of it,

Beevers and Sam Dodd all made worthwhile contributions in support of
Callum Robertson who almost carried his bat in a magnificent innings of
136.
The
thought of a near unachievable target, despite 50 overs in which to get

Carlton innings. Two wickets were taken by James Beevers and Stephen
Croft but the pitch proved to be the winner on the day as Carlton
finished on a far from inspiring 112-2, Baker batting throughout for
43.
