Key Points
from Members June 2010 Meeting
Balance – discussed - with great
improvements in June fundraising due to fantastic success of both the
Golf Day (£1,500) & Hog Roast (£1,650) (Thanks for hog success go to
John & Jill, Phil Stephenson, Sam Dodd, Sue Medley, George & Janet &
Phil H.)
Where were all the players??
Ideas to inc. for next year … puppet show by…?

Club Mark Audit – postponed for 2
weeks
Chalk for Covers Standing –
now considering other options -RR
Sponsors - S. Wise reports Pryers
of York have sadly not renewed their sponsorship for this
current season.

any ideas for a new 2nd X1 team sponsor? – some ball
sponsors monies still outstanding – St. Dodd to pursue.

Our VPs continue to provide excellent financial support.
Sponsors Junior Shirts –great news ….
Thanks to Star Inn, Sancton – providing funding towards 3 junior teams
shirts - U.11s,13s & U.15s. Chairman to meet with Ben Cox from the Star
on Friday at the ground – will a shirt fit Robert? Details to follow…
Sprinkler for Square – Robert on the
case for high tech model!! Not female
Captains Log – Charles outlined good
progress in 1st X1 to date against tough opposition in Div 1.
Juniors now well represented in 2nd X1 & results
encouraging. Junior teams going very well.
Junior 6 a sides – Phil identified
help req. for U.13 & U.15s on 18th & 25th June
Decision on no. of teams & overs per inns. To be
decided.

Volunteers - Discussion
Concern expressed with shortfall on helpers for some planned events .
All agreed a more positive approach may be necessary in the future i.e.
jobs to be directly delegated.(no hiding place boys)
Race night in Aug – Ian to discuss
progress with Rich Foster –same also for Sept. Club Dinner
Outdoor Nets - Work still
required asap to complete project – Charles to chase!
Speeding – members to note…please
observe the speed limits through Londesborough Village & also through
the park to the ground.
P.S.- Note new improved boundary line due to
“Arnolds” new toy!!
