Match Week 15, Britcom sponsored X1 travelled to Easingwold to face there 2nd team.
The previous weeks top scorers Rook and M.Drewery dropped out, with B.Shingles and Ciaran Brooke coming in from the 2nd team.
Skipper Moody lost the toss and was asked to bat with rain clouds looming.
Gamble and Stothard saw off the new ball bowling of Metcalfe and Sargent, when in the 10th over the heavens opened, after a hours delay an early tea was taken.
Play resumed not long after tea when the rain halted, Gamble was soon to depart Bowled by Metcalfe for a positive 29(33), Stothard(17) also departed the same way from a excellent delivery that nipped back and bowled him middle stump.
Drewery and Beevers kept the scoreboard moving with quick running and utilising the loose bowling as the ball had become a bar of soap.
Yet again it rained, and both umpires and captains willing to get back on the moment it relented showed the spirit in which the game was been played.
When play resumed LPCC had  14 overs, making the 1st innings a maximum of 34 overs leaving the home 28 overs to chase victory.
Greg soon hit his 3rd half century striking the ball to all parts, whilst Beevers was placing the ball well and hitting the occasional 4.
Skipper Metcalf returned to finish his spell and the extra pace and bounce did for Greg as he gloved the ball to the keeper finishing on 62(51) and ending a partnership of 86.
Stephenson succumbed soon after to give the home team skipper his 4th wicket.
Ben Shingles joined Beevers and continued the positive batting with a partnership of 48. With an early declaration looming Beevers was unfortunate to be run out the last ball for 48 of just 43 balls.
LPCC closing on 183/5 declared off 32 overs.
With 30 overs to chase the total down Daniel Copeland showed his intent by hitting the not so loose Moody for 6 just 4 balls in.
Joe Shingles looking to continue on his impressive form struggled for rhythm but still bowling tight, Moody removed Copeland in the 3rd over with a excellent catch by Tissiman over his shoulders at point. 13/1
Alexander and Metcalfe stuck the loose bowling well as consistency was lacking from the opening bowlers, Tissiman replaced Shingles and in his 2nd over bowled Metcalfe for 24 with a off cutter.
After Moody had bowled his spell Eagling now looking to bring his economy rate down to something acceptable had Alexander back in the pavilion LBW for 24.
Eagling ended Wells day bowled for a golden. 
Josh Sargent batted very positively pouncing of poor bowling until he was unlucky to be caught by Moody at mid off for 20 to give Tissiman his 2nd. 94/5
A change of ends for Tissiman worked as he and Moody combined again caught on the boundary to remove veteran Robinson(20) 125/6 soon became 126/7 as Dobson took on the wrong fielder in Will Stephenson who prevented the 2 with a throw from the boundary to Tissiman for the run out.
The 2 combined again as Jamie Metcalfe was out for 18 to give mark his 4th wicket in his 7 over spell.
Joe shingles retuned for his 2nd spell and bowled Summerscales 1st ball of the final over to leave the final batsmen 5 delivers to scrape a loosing draw. 145/9
With men all round the bat and a rare selfless act coming in a word of advise from Tissiman to Joe the 30 points was in the bag as Shingers 1 and Shingers 2 combined with a catch at 3rd slip giving LPCC a 2nd to last ball victory.
A great game played in excellent spirits from both teams, victory moving us up to 2nd in Division 2 north.
Next week we travel to York looking to avenge the loss from earlier in the season.
