Nominees from all over Yorkshire travelled to the Annual Awards Ceremony held in the Premier Suite at Headingley last Sunday. A buffet lunch was followed by presentation of the awards and the recipients were subsequently invited onto the playing surface for photographs during the interval of the Yorkshire v Worcestershire T20 Blast fixture. Local clubs were well represented with the Park’s Malcolm Cartwright and Phil High picking up the Ralph Pritchard Award jointly for Volunteer of the Year for their services to the club.
The Presentation Party included Mark Arthur, Chief Executive of Yorkshire County Cricket Club and director of Yorkshire Cricket Board, Chris West, Chairman of Yorkshire Cricket Board who also excelled in the role of master of ceremonies, Ian Cotterhill, Vice Chairman of Yorkshire Cricket Board and Andrew Watson, Executive Director of Yorkshire Cricket Board.
To round off a special day Yorkshire went on to win the match despite a rain interval and the awards recipients and the large Yorkshire crowd left happy.
