Londesborough Park 1st XI travelled the short distance to Yapham on Saturday. Yapham batted first, with Jason Nattrass (31), Ashley Cattle (45) and Jack Holman (33) all contributing towards a respectable total of 177 in their 45 overs. James Beevers (3-39) claimed their three key wickets, and Lucas Stephenson also claimed three wickets for 25 runs from his six overs.

Londesborough’s second wicket partnership between James Beevers and Martin Pearson put on a valuable 85 runs before James was dismissed for 41. Martin then went on to score an impressive 88 runs to put the Park in a strong position. When Michael Drewery joined Tom Eagling at the crease Londesborough needed 33 runs from 23 balls to get them over the line. They managed to do just that with more than two overs to spare, gaining the full 30 points in the process.
