Londesborough Park 1st team travelled to
face Woodhouse III on Saturday and came away with an easy victory and 30 more
points towards their bid for promotion. Woodhouse chose to bat first, but
excellent bowling by Martin Pearson (3-8) and Scott Hardwick (3-17) meant the
Park brought their innings to a conclusion in the 39th over with only
69 runs on the board. Londesborough made light work of the reply, knocking off
the runs in just 13 overs with the loss of two wickets. James Beevers continued
his good run with the bat, top scoring with 35, and Londesborough Park II
remain in second place in Ebor II division.

The second team didn’t have to take to the field on
Saturday to also receive the full 30 points, as Woodhouse Grange IV could not
raise sufficient players and were forced to concede the match on Friday
afternoon.
