Londesborough Park Cricket Club News story

Match Reports 24th August

25 Aug 2019

Londesborough Park 1st team travelled to face Woodhouse III on Saturday and came away with an easy victory and 30 more points towards their bid for promotion. Woodhouse chose to bat first, but excellent bowling by Martin Pearson (3-8) and Scott Hardwick (3-17) meant the Park brought their innings to a conclusion in the 39th over with only 69 runs on the board. Londesborough made light work of the reply, knocking off the runs in just 13 overs with the loss of two wickets. James Beevers continued his good run with the bat, top scoring with 35, and Londesborough Park II remain in second place in Ebor II division.

Woodhouse Grange: 69-10 (Martin Pearson 3-8, Scott Hardwick 3-17)

LPCC: 72-2 (James Beevers 35)

The second team didn’t have to take to the field on Saturday to also receive the full 30 points, as Woodhouse Grange IV could not raise sufficient players and were forced to concede the match on Friday afternoon.
