Saturday the 28th June and LPCC 1Xl made another trip to Chanterlands Avenue but the opposite side of the road looking to carry on the previous months form of 2 wins and a winning draw. 
Hoping the weather that ruined the Roses clash the previous evening wouldn't scupper today's game. 
Team changes as always were the returning Rook after a week off drinking champagne and 2nd team captain Thomas 'comb over' Williamson. Departing J Williamson and Ciaran Brooke. 
Skipper Moody again won the toss and elected to bowl on a sporting wicket. 
Opening the Bowling this week in place of Tissiman due to injuring his ankle slipping on a banana skin was Greg Drewery and skipper Moody. 
Moody struck the first to Hull with a regulation edge behind to 'the Pilot' Nettleton. With plenty of dross deliveries been thrown to the hull batsmen they didn't miss out until Moody and Nettleton again combined to remove the impressive Wilkinson for 13. Another dropped catch again was costly as the aggressive Barrick(45) wasted no time dispatching the ball around the ground in a partnership of 75 with home team captain Phillips(58). Foster removed Barrick who went for a walk down the wicket and was easily stumped by the pilot. Former skipper Rook bagged 2 wickets in 2 balls in what was looking like his last over until he stepped up, rook bagged his 3rd removing Phillips stood in front of his stumps lbw and soon after his 4th caught expertly by skipper moody at 1st slip. 2 wickets in the last over by James Beevers ended Hulls innings on 212/9 including 35 extras. 
A surprisingly excellent tea was enjoyed by all. 
Rook(58) and Stothard(42) centurions of there previous innings opened up and played the new ball bowling well, Stothard batting his usual way of hitting the ball hard hit the biggest six of the day into a ladies front room as she ate her tea and Rook watchful as ever. Hull now began to tighten the run chase down with excellent slow bowling. The impressive Barrick removing Stothard for 42 then Nettleton for 6. Youngster Greg Drewery was dismissed for a odd lbw decision. Steve Dawson again looking good was also given out very oddly lbw. It was left to Beevers and Williamson to see out the remaining overs as LPCC closed the innings on 187/7 and claiming 15 points. 
Again dropped catches hurt LPCC but also 35 extras made the difference.
