Londesborough Park Cricket Club

The August Bank Holiday weather shone kindly for the 8 local teams including a very welcome ladies team from the Carpenters Arms @ Market Weighton.
With BBQs flowing inc. even lobster dishes all teams enjoyed the cricketing fun with personal highs & lows coming thick and fast. No doubt these performances will be shared in the local hostelries & workplaces  in some great detail for weeks to come. The John Hall Memorial Trophy
 was presented for the second year to "Boyd,s Brigade" as overall winners.The ladies team winning a welcome bottle of bubbly for their genuine efforts.
Thanks go to all the clubs who took part playing with great enthusiasm & sporting spirit throughout.
Yet again Malc Cartwright & Phil High led a dedicated team of Londesborough Park volunteers inc. umpires,scorers & bar staff all contributing to another very successful community event whilst at the same time raising approx. £550 for cricket club funds.
